A nightmare:
We uses Hostmonster for over a year or more, and customer service was excellent, it began deteriorating quickly unhelpful, uninterested, passive aggressive kids giving an attitude. Not for all cases, but in far too many. We were calling for support because it was a crap shoot whether you would get someone helpful and impossible. Then in September 2010 we had our site tampered with twice within one week. The first time, an incompetent tech rep misunderstood the problem and told us it was our fault and our problem and we had to find the code that was causing the problem ourselves. Baffled, we called again and a supervisor was wildly apologetic. He restored the site from a backup but was unable to explain what had occurred. Six days later we went through the same thing all over again, only without the apologies. This time we could get no one to manifest any interest or concern over the incident, let alone explain what had happened. That was the last straw.
Good
I probably wouldn't have written, but I saw the other review saying how horrible it was. That's not true. I have been a repeat customer of this service. I'm a novice so I can't really say how this site would work for a hard core professional Ecommerce site, But if that's what you are looking for you probably wouldn't be shopping here. All I can say is it has worked fantastic for me. You get unlimited space and unlimited domains. Support was appropriately fast and accurate.

What a nightmare you definitely get what you pay for, and it is not worth it! Even after contacting a CS rep on the phone, he was ignorant and basically told me to go somewhere else. I could not access the site and called and was told that I changed my password, when I had not. It was a billing rep that told me my account had been "hacked", but because the password was changed, and someone added a firewall, I could not access the account. These "brilliant" obviously, I am being sarcastic reps kept telling me they would "send me a link"--hello, if I can't access your site, and if I didn't change the password, then, –A- I can't use your link for anything and –B- don't know the password to access account, even if I Could get to your site!!!!!!! Ironically, AFTER we left them and went back with our old hosting company, we could access! We left and are so glad we did. We got bombarded with x-rated emails, and no one wanted to help us
No security always hacked dont go here
site is always hacked and always told to update my password. im running out of password, almost every month. have to delete everything including my data base, nothing to salvage they have no help in cleaning. now moving to ipage.
You get what you pay for.
Always read fine print. There is no such thing as unlimited storage and bandwidth. If you use too much, they will cancel your account on the grounds that they can cancel you for any reason at any time even though it contradicts their advertising. That aside, the deal is pretty good. That is, until they have a disk failure and suddenly all your sites are down. You call support and they offer to restore one of the backups they have for you, obviously you say go ahead." Then they call back and say "whoops it turns out we didn't have a backup for you after all." Now you are stuck uploading your own backup over a household DSL line which will take forever... Local collocation space and servers are cheap these days. Time to move on from Hostmonster. I'm done with hosts like this. Beware.

   ( Their hosting service is extremely not acceptable, down server all the time, told us to upgrade the advance plan and problems keep coming up. we use our website for business and it was down in the middle of the day then we call them and they said there were moving the server. Not great for business :
    ( We tried out Lunar Pages for hosting our corporate website and email. For an entire month we had email outages. First line support was not helpful and returned canned responses. We were constantly told the problem must be on our end - because we can connect just fine - After a month of complaining, a senior level admin found out that someone else on our server had a form that was spamming the mail server and thereby limiting connections to everyone else. )

Leaving over-protective host:
   (Good news | LunarPages is a solid, reliable host. As long as everything goes normally, you'll never have a problem. Bad news: They achieve this reliability at a great cost. Two examples. –1- If you have have a computer and a mobile device on the same network checking IMAP mail, it's only a matter of time before that network is blocked from your server. Two IMAP requests at the same time from the same IP is interpreted as an attack, and the wall goes up. You need to create a trouble ticket and they will remove the block in a few hours. This cycle is endless. –2- If you have a script running that uses too much CPU or bandwidth, they not only kill the script, but they suspend your account. Your content is unreachable until you prove you're innocent. This process took me two days. I'm done with these guys as soon as my contract is up. )
So Glad I Left LunarPages :
      ( I am so happy that my relationship with Lunarpages is over. LP looks like a good deal, but the headache is not worth it. If your site just shows a couple of pages, LP might be okay. Downtime isn't frequent, but when it is, LP clams up, admits nothing and wants you to leave them alone, and offers no compensation for the downtime, basically a big for You for pointing out that they do not necessarily hit their claims of uptime. If you site is script intensive, Beware. If they don't like your scripts, your site can be shut down - quickly - and for no reason. If you ever need support, they have a ticket system. But don't expect to deal with the same person twice - ever. It won't happen. Be prepared to explain yourself, again and again and again, and be prepared to have them not understand the problem, again and again and again. I would highly recommend using anyone else. LP is no good. )
